Stepford Connect, or simply known as Connect, is a regional and semi-fast rail operator in Stepford County Railway. It runs rail services to various districts around Stepford County, such as Stepford, Whitefield, Benton, Leighton, Stepford Airport, Hampton Hargate and Llyn-by-the-Sea. A full journey on the main line, which runs from Stepford Central to Llyn-by-the-Sea using route R024 takes around 44 minutes to complete.
As part of a renewed franchise from Version 1.5, this operator is now branded as Stepford Connect and bears a sky blue (#0096EE) colour scheme with a navy blue (#090D2B) secondary colour, courtesy of rail management system Transport for Stepford. The font used for the branding is (similar to) FS Elliot Pro Bold Italic. Prior to the renewal, the brand was simply Connect and bore a teal blue (#008F9C) and white (#FFFFFF) colour scheme.

Note: Here you can find the explanations for station codes.
Trivia
- Stepford Connect was the first playable operator added to the game in its initial form, making it the longest lasting operator.
- As of Version 2.3, Stepford Connect is the largest operator in Stepford County Railway. It operates the largest variety of rolling stock, operates the most routes of any operator, and can spawn trains at the most locations of any operator.
- Originally, some Stepford Connect stations were supposed to have been operated and served by Metro. When plans for Metro fell through, those stations were instead repurposed as Connect stations.
- Some examples of stations originally destined for Metro include New Harrow, High Street, Whitefield, and Willowfield.
- When the plans for Metro were revived, some of those stations lost their Connect service in exchange for Metro services.
- In V1.5, the Class 380 was the only train with the new livery on this operator, with the other trains receiving the new livery in V1.6.
- Prior to Version 1.5, Waterline was used as a trading name for Stepford Connect services around the River Ben. Waterline has since been spun off into its own operator.
- There is speculation among some community members about whether or not Stepford Express is a brand operated by Stepford Connect. No official confirmation has been given about this theory.
- This operator, along with Waterline, were the last operators to see their trains upgraded to NGv1 and to NGv3 in V2.0.
- Between Version 1.2 and Version 1.9, Stepford Connect lacked a station that was served by all of its routes, being the only operator with this distinction.
- This was changed when Stepford Express added services along the Newry branch in this update.
- It was the only operator to serve all Network Rail stations before they received Transport for Stepford signs in V1.6.
- Even after the rebrand in Version 1.5, remnants of the previous Stepford Connect brands could still have been spotted throughout the map, such as station colour schemes at Whitefield Lido (prior to Version 1.8) and Ashlan Park (prior to Version 1.9.1).[note 1], as well as the colour scheme in the interior of the Class 321 (prior to Version 2.0)
- Between Version 1.1 and Version 1.10, Stepford Connect was the only operator where there weren't any trains able to operate all of an operator's routes. This was due to R009 being exclusive to the Class 68, in addition to the aforementioned train being unable to run on some routes.
- Excluding variants, all trains costs 1,500 points except the Class 68 (3,000 points + 200 experience), Class 156 (3,000 points + 500 experience), Class 357 (Free), Class 385 (2,000 points), and the Class 707 (300 points).
- Stepford Connect operates two of the shortest routes in the game, this is Edgemead to Leighton West (R041) and Leighton City to Leighton West (R043) with a total of 2 stops respectively.
- Before V1.8, the shortest route in the game was Stepford Victoria to Beechley (R029) with a total of 3 stops.
- Since V2.2, Stepford Connect is one of the 2 operators that do not have any named routes. The other one is Metro.
- Stepford Connect's livery has drawn criticism due to some trains being difficult to see at night. This is due to the darker livery wrapping around the front of the train, which causes the trains to blend into the surroundings. An example of this can be seen on Connect's Class 730s.
- Stepford Connect's old logo was set in the Johnston typeface. Transport for London uses the typeface extensively for its services, including the London Underground and the Docklands Light Railway.
- There has been a video of a train resembling a Class 390 on Connect existing in the first versions of the game (probably as a prop) near Stepford Town.[note 2]
- In March 2025, a new advertisement announced that some of the Stepford Connect routes would be moved onto a new operator. This was confirmed with the release of Version 2.2 on 11 May 2025, when 12 routes and one train were moved to Metro.
- Prior to Version 2.3, Stepford Connect rostered EMUs that could only be powered by a third rail.
- Some aspects of the Network Map as of Version 2.3 are inaccurate to how services are actually operated.
- Millcastle Racecourse is shown to receive limited services from Regional Connect routes, despite the fact that none of the Regional Connect routes call there.
- The map does not show Stepford Victoria being served by Regional Connect services, despite two Regional Connect routes, R009 and R026, originating there.
- Another Benton Connect route, R044, terminates at Leighton West. This is not reflected on the map.
